Eligibility and Registration

To use our service, you must be at least 18 years old and have the legal capacity to enter into a binding contract. You must also be a registered security company in South Africa with a valid Psira number, or a company that provides products or services to the local security industry, or a potential customer looking for security products or services.

To create an account, you must provide accurate and complete information, including your company name, Psira number, contact details, and other relevant information. You are responsible for maintaining the security and confidentiality of your account and password. You must notify us immediately of any unauthorised access or use of your account.

You may not use our service for any illegal, fraudulent, or unauthorised purpose. You may not use our service to impersonate any person or entity, or to misrepresent your affiliation with any person or entity. You may not use our service to harass, abuse, defame, threaten, or violate the rights of any other user or third party.

Listing Rules and Guidelines

As a security company, you may create and post listings on our website to showcase your products and services. You must follow these rules and guidelines when creating and posting listings:

• Your listing name must be your registered South African company name, not a product nor a service.

• Your Psira number is the unique identifier that Psira assigned to your security company when you registered with them. This field is only for Psira numbers. Do not enter any other information here. Psira registration is mandatory for all security companies and security service providers in South Africa. If you are not a security company or a security service provider, and you are not required by law to register with Psira, you can leave this field blank.

• Your country must be based in South Africa. Security Directory South Africa is for South African based companies only. If your company is based anywhere else, please contact us on admin@securitydirectory.co.za to discuss listing fees.
• Your social media accounts and contact details must not be included in your listing description. There is a specific field for this. To make it easier for prospects to contact you and for these to show in your listing, you will need a premium subscription.
• Your categories and tags must be relevant to your products and services. Free listings are limited to one (1) category and one (1) tag. Premium listings may have more categories and tags, depending on the subscription plan.
• Your displayed logo must be your company logo, not a product nor a service ad. Product and service ads are features that you get with a premium listing. Your logo must be clear, professional, and appropriate for your company and industry. Ideal size is 300 x 300 px.
  
  
• Your listing must be accurate, truthful, and up-to-date. You must not provide any false, misleading, or deceptive information. You must not infringe any intellectual property rights, privacy rights, or other rights of any other user or third party.
• Your listing must comply with all applicable laws and regulations in South Africa and in the jurisdictions where you operate. You must not list any products or services that are illegal, prohibited, or restricted by law.
• Your listing must not contain any offensive, abusive, obscene, vulgar, hateful, or otherwise inappropriate content. You must not use our service to promote any illegal, harmful, or objectionable activities or content.

We reserve the right to review, edit, reject, or remove any listing that violates these rules and guidelines, or for any other reason at our sole discretion. We also reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you breach these terms and conditions.

Fees and Payments

Creating an account and listing your products and services on our website is free of charge. However, if you want to access additional features and benefits, such as more categories and tags, social media and contact details display, featured listing, and more, you will need to upgrade to a premium subscription plan.

We offer different subscription plans with different prices and features. You can choose the plan that best suits your needs and budget. You can view the details and prices of our subscription plans on our website.

You can pay for your subscription plan using any of the payment methods that we accept on our website. You must provide valid and current payment information. You authorize us to charge your payment method for the subscription fee and any applicable taxes. You are responsible for paying any fees or charges that your bank or payment provider may impose on your transactions.

Your subscription plan will automatically renew at the end of each billing cycle, unless you cancel it before the renewal date. You can cancel your subscription plan at any time by contacting us or following the instructions on our website. Your cancellation will take effect at the end of the current billing cycle. You will not receive any refund or credit for any unused portion of your subscription plan.

We do not guarantee sales nor any further exposure. It is your responsibility to ensure that your listing is SEO optimised to increase your listing’s reach.

We do not endorse, verify, or guarantee the quality, reliability, or suitability of any products or services listed on our website. We do not have any control over the actions or omissions of any user or third party. We are not a party to any transactions or contracts that may arise between you and any other user or third party. You are solely responsible for your interactions and communications with any other user or third party.

We provide our service on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We do not make any warranties or representations of any kind, express or implied, regarding our service, website, or any products or services listed on our website. We disclaim all warranties and conditions, including but not limited to, warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, accuracy, completeness, availability, security, or reliability.
